MILD HYBRID

Volvo has a mild-hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) on selected models. MHEV vehicles have a traditional combustion engine which is supported by a small electric motor to help enhance fuel efficiency and produce fewer emissions. These vehicles are charged by regenerative braking only.

PLUG-IN HYBRID

The Volvo range includes plug-in hybrid SUV and Estate options. A plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) combines a traditional combustion engine alongside a battery-powered electric motor. The electric motor is charged by being plugged in and also through regenerative braking during your drive.
