All UK vehicles that are three or more years old must pass a full MOT test annually. This is a regulation laid down by the Ministry of Transport and required by law. As the test certificate expires after one year, it’s important to remember when your car's next MOT is due.
The test checks and confirms the working order of over 150 individual components, both inside and outside of the vehicle, including safety systems, technology features and the gearbox and engine. To ensure that your Škoda is in the best possible running condition, we’ll resolve any issues we identify using genuine parts.
Our dealership in Hamilton incorporates an official Škoda MOT testing centre, to support motorists throughout Glasgow. We make pre-checks before the test to highlight any hidden faults with your car so that you can keep any repair work needed in mind whether it passes or not. On satisfactory completion of the MOT, we’ll award you with the official VT20 certificate. It notes all of the information stored on the central MOT database and is also your test receipt. If we’ve performed any repairs or maintenance work on your Škoda, this will be recorded on a separate VT32 document.
