Mild Hybrid vehicles use a petrol engine to power the wheels with a lithium battery providing support. Stop-start technology is used to increase efficiency by shutting the engine off when the car is coasting, or when lifting your foot off the pedal at speeds under 11 mph on automatic transmission, to reduce tailpipe emissions and running costs.
