Nissan Mild Hybrid Technology

Mild Hybrid vehicles use a petrol engine to power the wheels with a lithium battery providing support. Stop-start technology is used to increase efficiency by shutting the engine off when the car is coasting, or when lifting your foot off the pedal at speeds under 11 mph on automatic transmission, to reduce tailpipe emissions and running costs.

How does it all work?

Nissan Charges While Driving

Charges while driving

The Mild Hybrid Technology offers an all-round improvement in efficiency thanks to the smart regeneration system. While the car is in motion and slowing down, kinetic energy is captured and used to recharge the battery.

Nissan Engine Break

Lets the engine take a break

Thanks to regenerative braking, the energy that might normally wear down the brake pads is put to good use. While idle or coasting, the battery takes over, powering the car's electrical equipment so the engine can shut off more often, to improve your fuel efficiency.

Nissan Smoother Driving

Makes acceleration easier

The energy stored in the battery provides an extra boost during acceleration, to create a more responsive driving experience and further lighten the load on the engine.

There are many benefits associated with owning a Mild Hybrid Vehicle including improved efficiency, lower emissions, and a more economical driving experience.
