The Lexus RX has evolved with next-level design. Still recognisable as an RX, Next Chapter's design philosophy directly communicates the vehicle's performance capabilities. From the Signature Grille's spindle shape to the Signature Body's sharp lines, Lexus RX achieves a purposeful look to compliment the enhanced performance. Triple LED headlights accentuate the sharp look and a widened track and lower centre of gravity maintain the stance.
The accentuated coupe-like feel is enhanced with larger 21” wheels to create a bold stance. Sweeping character lines accompany the trademark black rear pillar RX’s recognised for. Strongly flared arches hint at the powerful performance that awaits.
The signature Lexus Lightbar creates a strong unique single-line LED wrap-around effect at the rear. The new ‘LEXUS’ wording replaces the old Lexus ‘L’ emblem to create a contemporary feel.
The Lexus RX is available at launch in 9 impressive colours. The newly available Sonic Copper is a truly exquisite expression of bold individualism. All 9 colours are metallic and help present the models' sharp form in a seductive and powerful manner.
Minimalist, intuitive, and spacious in the true spirit of Omotenashi. The New RX’s interior is thoughtfully designed and practical, yet intelligent and comfort-boosting. Luxuriate in 10-way adjustable leather seats with extending cushions and lumbar support. Both front and rear seats have been redesigned to offer maximum support and comfort. Rear seat passengers can also enjoy independent controls and charging options at the rear of the centre console. Both front and rear seats offer heating and ventilation functions to maximise comfort in all seasons.
The Tazuna cockpit concept ensures the experience is more driver-centred. Tazuna is the Japanese word for the phrase ‘reins of a horse’ which is exactly what Lexus has achieved in the RX. Focus on driving with intuitive controls at your fingertips. There is a single-dial meter, along with a multi-information display all at eye level to minimise head movement. Centralised gauges and a head-up display help the driver to follow the principle of ‘hands on the wheel, eyes on the wheel’ also inspired by the Japanese.
Lexus Mood Selector is all part of Omotenashi hospitality. Upon entering the Lexus RX, occupants will feel relaxed by the soft, indirect illumination offered by the Lexus Mood Selector, located in the dome, door trim, door handles, floor, and wireless charging pad lights. A palette of 64 colours and 14 bespoke themes all inspired by nature help you choose the best ambient lighting for your mood and journey.
The RX is available in three distinct electrified powertrain options. Choose between the Self-Charging Hybrid RX 350h, the first RX Plug-In Hybrid vehicle, RX 450h+, and the game-changing first-ever Lexus Performance Hybrid, the turbocharged RX 500h.
All RX models are equipped with the ‘Lexus Driving Signature’
dynamics, thanks in part to the all-new GA-K platform on which the
vehicle is built on. 90kg weight reduction and a 15mm lower centre of
gravity help to create the comfort, control, and confidence all Lexus
drivers enjoy.
E-FOUR is Lexus’ intelligent all-wheel-drive
technology and is available on RX 450h+ and RX 350h models. Using a 40kW
electric motor on the rear axle, E-FOUR provides an all-wheel-drive
grip and ability when pulling away or driving in slippery road
conditions.
Next-generation technology is evident in the New RX,
from the Lexus Safety System+ (LLS+) safety technology to the Lexus Link
Multimedia system.
BladeScan Adaptive High-Beam System is built into the sharp and sleek triple LED headlights. Twelve individual LED chips regulate the output to avoid dazzling other road users whilst maintaining optimal levels of maximum clarity for the driver.
10-inch colour Head-Up Display projects key driving information directly into the driver’s line of sight. Lexus Link Pro multimedia system is equipped with an HD touchscreen with anti-reflective coating, whilst the 7-inch Multi-Information Display allows the driver to check vehicle status at a glance. Touch-type sensitive steering wheel switches enable the driver to intuitively control the screen systems safely and confidently.
