Being the first full-electric Maserati ever, the GranTurismo Folgore uses Formula E technology to deliver seamless performance that is ready to take your driving experience to new heights.
With a design inspired by the Aurora Borealis, the Maserati Folgore offers a clean energetic style, with an electrified twist. Built to be aerodynamic, the model features specific front splitters and diffusers, together with 20/21” diamond-cut gloss black Aero wheels, to improve efficiency so that you can enjoy each journey for longer. The signature Trident logo, as well as the Maserati, GranTurismo, and Folgore scripts are displayed in dark copper across the exterior. Additional design highlights also include, the side vents, which are illuminated in electric blue, anodized calipers, and a special Folgore grille, which consists of glossy black inserts on a slightly anodized silk black base.
Inside, the Folgore makes its mark with the exceptional use of colours, materials, and creative crafting techniques, to deliver a fresh, minimalist style. Whether you prefer light or dark, you can match your style, with interior detailing available in either Ice/Denim with Ice stitching, or Black upholstery with copper stitching. The seats, pillars, sun visors, and ceiling have been upholstered using ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon fibre, made 100% from fishing nets and other plastic scraps. This futuristic material is used throughout the high-fashion industry, and provides a matte, soft-to-touch finish. The use of ECONYL® throughout the cabin provides increased graphic design opportunities, such as a new wavy herringbone pattern featured on the seats. Leather printing technology creates a button-free look across the dashboard and panels, to emphasise the clean, uninterrupted style within the Folgore.
The full-electric model features a host of cutting-edge technology, designed to make every experience convenient and enjoyable for everyone onboard. The central 12.3” touchscreen provides real-time information, navigation, and charging assistance. This allows you to stay in-control of your journey by delivering predicted charge status for when you reach your destination, charging station recommendations along your route, and the maximum distance you can travel – based on battery, driving style, and real-time road information.
With “Folgore” meaning “Lightning” in Italian, it comes as no surprise that the model comes with powerful performance that packs a punch. The full-electric powertrain has been developed using Formula E-derived technology by incorporating elements such as the silicon carbide inverters to provide a smooth, efficient drive. The advanced 800-volt battery powers three potent 300-kw permanent magnet motors – one in the front, two in the rear – to offer up to 560 kW 761 CV and an astonishing 1,350 Nm of torque across all four wheels. With this, you can enjoy a range of up to 450 km on one full battery charge, to ensure you get the most out of each journey. The GranTurismo Folgore can flash from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and has a top speed capability of 325 km/h. The “T-bone” layout positions battery mass closer to the roll axes, to allow for prefect weight distribution and a low centre of gravity. This results in higher speeds, seamless acceleration, and improved agility overall.
