To celebrate 100 years of BMW Motorrad, history has been created with the BMW R 18 100 Years. Be one of the 1923 to experience driving such an iconic model, with only a selected few being released to commemorate the memory of 100 years of Motorrad.

“100 Years of Soul in One Motorcycle”, even after 10 decades, we still see the timeless and modern elegance in the R 18 100 Years. Named a design icon and statement to the public eye. The unmissable centrepiece of this model is the 67kW boxer engine added by the largest displacement ever installed by BMW Motorrad. Complimented with numerous special features it combines well with a high-grade surface concept in the anniversary edition of the R 18. The main focus being the Classic Chrome with black paintwork and high-gloss chrome surfaces. White double lining and of course the 100 Years badge are featured to commemorate the exclusivity of this anniversary model. The front wheel covers and side panels are covered in black paint and complimented with white double lining on the front mudguard.
The Classic Chrome design is one of the major attractions of the R 18 100 Years and has been for the past 100 years. High-quality durable galvanic surface coating can be seen on the Handlebar fittings, gearshift, foot brake levers, handlebar clamps, cylinder head covers and many other small features are finished in this design made to stand out at every corner. Look and see the chromed Akrapovič rear silencers with perforated tailpipe trims in the “propeller style” of the BMW brand logo.
The soul of the R 18 100 Years is the 91hp boxer engine, unmissable and providing extreme power for the ultimate driving experience. The powerful boxer engine with 1,802 cc displacement produces elemental power with its two chain-driven camshafts above the drive shaft. Enjoy the need for speed by reaching a maximum speed of over 110mph getting you to destinations in no time. In the gearbox, you will find a 6-gear shifting claw transmission in the separate transmission housing, enjoy a driving experience that is seamless to the core with you the driver being fully in control of your driving agility. The BMW R 18 is packed with passion providing unforgettable driving experiences with four striking characteristics; the boxer engine, double cradle frame, drop-shaped fuel tank and exposed Cardan shaft. All of the above combine to create a memorable driving experience to reflect the feeling of nostalgia for the 100-year anniversary.
For extra added protection on those long journeys, Dynamic Engine Brake Control and Dynamic Brake Control combine to create a much safer driving experience on your R 18 100 Years Bike. Full LED lighting and Keyless Ride are added for convenience when it comes to accessing your bike late at night or if you are in a rush to get to your destination. Reverse Assist is a feature that will always come in handy, especially when it comes to those tricky spaces, parking will never be as easy or perfect when using the handy reversing assist feature. Our Cruise Control feature is great for those long journeys, take time to set yourself into Cruise Control and enjoy the open air while taking in the great views. Especially in winter, our Heated Grips will be a handy asset to have even on those cold mornings when your gloves might not be enough.
