Transporting those back to old beginnings as one of the first cruisers fitting for touring, the R 18 calls integrates iconic marks of the past. Boasting a large windscreen, additional LED headlights, 16-inch front wheel, passenger seat and saddle bags, the R18 Classic is built for comfort and enjoyment on any road.

Powering the BMW R18 Classic is the newly developed two-cylinder boxer engine – the ‘big boxer’. The combination of the technology and appearance harnessed by the boxer engine reflects a prolongation of traditional air-cooled boxer engines that have provided exhilarating experiences since the beginning of BMW Motorrad in 1923. An engine that makes a statement, the boxer delivers a maximum torque of 158 Nm at 3000 rpm. From 2000 to 4000 rpm, the engine consistently provides over 150Nm with a maximum output of 67 kW (91 hp) at 4750 rpm. Start every journey with a spark.
