MG introduced their future EV sports car, the MG Cyberster at the Shanghai Auto Show earlier this year and what a concept car it is! The MG Advanced Design Centre in London was behind the futuristic model that carries design inspiration from MG's previous MGB Roadster.
It's a two-seater with butterfly doors, and the "Magic Eye" headlights become visible when the car is switched on. The grille serves as an air duct to enhance the car's aerodynamics which helps provide impressive acceleration speed. The Cyberster also has LED taillights and a hacker-blade alloy wheel design.
Inside the car,
you will find separate cockpits for driver and passenger. The
separation allows for a central screen as a part of the two-screen
system the driver has. The second screen sits behind the steering wheel,
providing all the necessary information the driver might need. The
central screen instead contains several functions the driver has access
to through the touch panel.
The
car has reached a new level with a battery range of up to 500 miles,
and it can go from 0-62 mph in less than three seconds. This is all
thanks to MG's owner SAIC Motor who is behind the engine design.
