Owners and guests were recently invited to spend the evening with McLaren Glasgow and members of the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) Team.
MSO Managing Director, Ansar Ali and MSO Sales Manager, Neil Underwood introduced guests to the exciting world of MSO and the myriad of possibilities where cars can be personalised and designed to precise requirements as well as creating one off models.
Senior MSO designer Alex Alexiev presented and answered guests’ questions as to the possibilities, as well as helping them configure models on our new state of the art McLaren Automotive Roaming Configurator (MARC).
Guests were also treated to a special unveiling of the MSO Carbon Theme Senna. It was also its first time on Scottish soil which made it even more special.
The Carbon Theme pack is one of five available from MSO for the Senna. It features bare carbon fibre bodywork, with flourishes of yellow and green across the exterior and interior taking inspiration from Ayrton Senna’s racing helmet that was finished in yellow, green and black. The Carbon Theme also adds seven-spoke carbon fibre and aluminium wheels that weigh 10% less than the standard wheels. The wheels also have different-coloured wheel nuts for left and right wheels.
Only 500 McLaren Senna have been manufactured, all of which have been sold, so it was incredibly lucky to have one at McLaren Glasgow for the event.
