The beautifully designed Mazda MX-30 R-EV is a plug-in hybrid like no other. It’s driven purely by its electric motor which offers an uninterrupted electric driving experience with Mazda’s-unique handling.
The MX-30 R-EV adopts its own “Human Modern” interpretation of Mazda’s Kodo design philosophy; it stands out from the crowd and caters to the modern driver’s needs. It’s carefully developed proportions and exciting elements bring this car to life, such as the freestyle doors and driver-centric cockpit, creating a one-of-a-kind crossover vehicle.
The 830cc rotary engine is the ideal petrol-powered engine to maintain the electric charge in a vehicle that is exclusively powered by an electric motor, so you can keep that electric driving feel every time you hit the road. The MX-30 R-EV offers a driving range of 400 miles* as the rotary engine generates additional charge to a 17.5kWh battery that is already capable of 53 miles on EV-only driving from a single charge. Therefore, this new Mazda technology offers a BEV driving experience whilst simultaneously removing any range or charging anxiety when on longer journeys.
Whilst the MX-30 R-EV will mirror the MX-30 BEV, the launch of the R-EV will also be supported by a limited edition model, The Mazda MX-30 R-EV Edition R. This will be offered in a unique Jet Black paint with Maroon rouge side panels, Edition R will also feature dark grey cloth with Black Leatherette seats and embossed R-EV Edition R badges on the front headrests, complimented by special edition floor mats with matching R-EV badging.
