New McLaren Senna

Contact McLaren Glasgow and McLaren Leeds for more information.

The McLaren Senna is the full embodiment of what it means to be a McLaren – the extreme and pure connection between car and driver, car and track.

The McLaren Senna is the most track-focused road car ever built by McLaren and will have the fastest laps by a McLaren to date. A car unashamedly without compromise, the McLaren Senna, like its namesake, is like no other.

Inspired by Ayrton Senna, one of McLaren’s greatest drivers, the Senna is dedicated to allowing the driver to be the best they can be.

The McLaren has a single-track purpose: to be the ultimate track-orientated road car. It calculatingly compromises McLaren’s daily functionality to create a bond between owner and car. The revolutionary front and rear active aerodynamics produce unparalleled levels of downforce and work in harmony with the RaceActive Chassis Control II (RCC II) hydraulic suspension and the ultra-rigid MonoCage III monocoque to deliver a circuit experience like no other.

Uber-lightweight construction, with a carbon fibre chassis and body panels, ensures this is the lightest McLaren vehicle since the iconic McLaren F1. The 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 is McLaren’s most powerful road car engine, producing 800 Ps (789 bhp) and 800Nm (590 lb ft). This creates an incredible power-to-weight ratio of 688PS-per-tonne.

The first impression of the McLaren Senna is that of an uncompromising and unforgiving machine, performance taking precedent above all else. From the front splitter to the double rear diffuser, every single line passes through a functional air intake or vent.

Even the thickness of the rear lights and the angle of the unique ‘slash-cut’ exhausts make an airflow contribution to the performance of the McLaren Senna.

Downforce and aerodynamic stability are the driving principles. To observe the detailed work that has gone into every aerodynamic element of the McLaren Senna is awe inspiring and to experience it all working in unison is something else entirely.

The McLaren Senna is first and foremost, a race car – built for the track. The new technology features in the ground-breaking front and rear active aerodynamics raise downforce and aero control to an unparalleled level to ensure the performance capability can be fully exploited. Intense, bold engineering has led to re-evaluating every component to maximise performance.

The carbon fibre MonoCage III chassis is the strongest monocoque for a road-legal vehicle built by McLaren to date. The track-focused Race mode introduces a lower ride height, a lower centre of gravity and significantly stiffer suspension. The bespoke Pirelli P ZeroTN Trofeo R tyres and carbon ceramic braking system is the most advanced features of their kind to be fitted to a McLaren road car.

The steadfast spirit of Ayrton Senna is alive and well at the heart of McLaren and the car that bears his name will strengthen the connection between his global legacy and the McLaren brand.
