The petrol engine and electric motor work together alongside a 1.56 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery to deliver exceptional fuel economy and reduced emissions. Depending on the driving situation, the hybrid drive system seamlessly switches between the petrol engine and electric motor for the best optimal performance – sometimes utilising both at the same time. Additionally, as part of the regenerative braking system, the electric motor helps to slow the car, whilst also charging the battery as you go.
