The frame that its built upon is enhanced with innovative suspension technology allowing a decrease in overall weight and an increase in precision, all of which is experienced from the unique seating position. The engine is now 4 kg lighter and boasts a narrower shape, resulting in improved handling and ergonomics. Built to see your competitors in the background, the rearview mirrors harness the front indicators; meanwhile, the standard LED headlights to instigate a competitive and dynamic look. Dominating in rear design, the S1000 RR displays the number plate lighting, number plate holder, LED turn signals, tails lights and brake lights. Refined, isn’t it? For those in search of speed and performance, the RR fills all desires. Suitable for not only the road, but the RR also adapts to circuit requirements by the removal of the rearview mirror and number plate - race-ready. The newly developed four-cylinder, 4-stroke in-line engine is the perfect power train, producing 154 kW (210 HP) at 13,500 rpm and an optimal torque curve. Aided by the innovative BMW ShiftCam technology, the RR has the ability to decide the valve opening time and the valve lift by virtue of the camshaft. This technology results in the RR being able to produce significantly more torque and power at low and medium engine speeds.

Benefit from safe performance on any road condition thanks to the Race ABS and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) on board the S 1000 RR. DTC adjusts the performance to the existing grip in milliseconds for maximum control and traction. When on the road, the Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) adjusts the electronic suspension to the current riding situation within milliseconds. The standard, lightweight M battery also emphasises the outstanding performance of the RR. Optional Pro riding modes make the S 1000 RR suitable for racing tracks. In addition to the four standard riding modes, there are three individually configurable RACE Pro modes and exclusive additional features such as Connectivity functions, Launch Control, Pitlane Limiter, Hill Start Control Pro, and Dynamic Brake Control.
