A spirited roadster redefined, the BMW R 1300 R brings boxer power and sharp handling. Replacing the R 1250 R, it introduces BMW’s latest 1,300 cc boxer twin, thoroughly reengineered for greater torque, agility, and responsiveness.
The athletic stance is highlighted by a sculpted tank, minimalist rear end, and a striking octagonal LED headlight. Optional bar-end mirrors, dark-chrome exhaust and sports wheels complete the confident, purposeful look.
A flat handlebar, slightly rear-set pegs and upright seating bring rider control to the forefront, while a 6.5-inch TFT display offers clear visibility of ride modes, navigation, and bike data. Keyless Ride, USB-C charging, and adjustable seat options ensure both comfort and convenience, whether in town or on longer rides.
Standard equipment includes Keyless Ride, Dynamic ESA, Adaptive LED headlight, USB-C connectivity and three riding modes: Rain, Road, and Eco. Optional upgrades like Riding Modes Pro, Dynamic Suspension Adjustment, Shift Assistant Pro and Adaptive Cruise Control push both comfort and capability even further.
Powered by BMW’s most potent boxer engine to date. The 1,300 cc Boxer twin delivers 145 hp at 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The motor responds with linear torque and a broad power band throughout the rev range giving the R 1300 R the ability to get from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds. A new cast aluminum frame, 47 mm USD forks, and optional sport suspension bring precise, agile handling to every road.
