The M 1000 R features a bold statement aesthetic, designed to dominate on any road. Two style options are available – Light White/M Motorsport & Blackstorm Metallic/M Motorsport - so that you can choose the right bike to suit your spirit.
This impressive model comes equipped with M winglets that generate aerodynamic downforce to prevent taking off at high speeds and increase the front-wheel load by 11 kg when travelling at a speed of 220 km/h. The popular M winglets allow you to benefit from maximum riding stability when on the go.
Immerse yourself into the full M experience with the 6.5-inch TFT display with M start-up animation. Once activated, one of four screen variants appears automatically thanks to the onboard memory function. This TFT display has been optimised for the racetrack and included a new flashing gearshift indicator, where the entire rev counter flashes once the set speed has been reached.
The BMW M 1000 R comes with a superbike engine that has been perfected for a hyper-roadster. The four-cylinder engine from the RR with BMW ShiftCam technology allows you to go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds and deliver a maximum engine speed of 14,6000 rpm. In terms of gear ratio, the M 1000 R has more to offer when compared to the RR – 47 instead of 46 teeth in the secondary gear ratio and a shorter gear ratio in 4th, 5th, and 6th gear – to provide performance-oriented riding on country roads. Plus, the titanium rear silencer emphasizes the bike’s rich sound so that you can be heard wherever you go.
New ergonomics and new handlebars provide a seating position that is focused on the front wheel to ensure clear feedback and breathtaking target accuracy, whilst the chassis with standard DDC has been designed to match the demands of the dynamic roadster and provide comfort and agility at all times. Also, benefit from three acceleration characteristics, linked to the Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race Pro riding modes, to deliver optimum response characteristics.
