The Gear Shift Assistant Pro, previously available only as a factory option, was fitted to many 2014-later R1200RT's and 2014-later R1200GS's built after August, 2013 (starting VIN: Z184816). If your (water-cooled) R1200R, R1200RS, R1200RT, R1200GS or R1200GS Adventure did not come with the Gear Shift Assistant Pro, you can now retrofit this system to your motorcycles. (NOTE: DOES NOT fit 2013 water-cooled R1200GS or any Air-Oil Cooled model.) Permits up shifts without using clutch or closing the throttle and downshifts without using clutch or "blipping" the throttle.
IMPORTANT! Also required: This system must be installed and enabled by an authorized BMW Motorrad dealer. Code is not available for purchase online - please see an authorized BMW Motorrad Dealer.
