With more than 100 improvements to boast over its predecessor Nissan's new all electric Leaf is truly an innovation. Imagine not having to worry about the price of petrol again, you can recharge this car at home, at work or out and about for less than the price of a litre of petrol. Without a gear stick, you can accelerate quickly and quietly and enjoy a super smooth ride.
Unlike internal-combustion engine-equipped vehicles, the Leaf is extremely environmentally friendly. Made with over 95% recovered materials and with no exhaust there are no CO2 emissions or other greenhouse gases emitted.
Available in five colours, the Leaf's aerodynamic design helps to save energy and reduce wind noise. There is no compromise on space as batteries are stored under your feet providing lots of valuable boot space.
The Leaf runs on a lithium-ion battery, a lightweight and durable battery which allows the car to travel up to 90 mph and up to 109 miles on a single charge. Charging the Leaf couldn't be easier and can be done at home with the use of a Home Charging Unit, which can be installed by Nissan's home charging partner, British Gas. Full charge from empty can be achieved in approximately 8 hours. A rapid charge option is also available charging the Leaf from 0% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. Leaf drivers also benefit from savings on congestion charge, VED and lower insurance ratings.
