The all-new BMW X5 M combines the performance characteristics of an 'M' model with the tractability of that of an 'X' model. With an astounding M TwinPower Turbo V8 petrol engine and eight-speed M Steptronic transmission, the X5 M is the most powerful M car to date.

Available in an assortment of exclusive M paint finishes, the exterior showcases low-weight non-run-flat 21-inch light alloy wheels that sit superbly on Michelin Pilot Super Sport UHP tires alongside new wider bumpers, larger air-intakes at the front, a diffuser and four pipes at the car's rear, wheel arch extensions and unique mirrors and "gills" on the front fenders.

Striking and strong in its appearance the X5 M also sounds the part with an extraordinary 547bhp and a staggering 502lb ft of torque producing 0 – 62mph in just 4.7sec to reach a top speed of 155mph.

While this high-performance crossover features a 4.4 litre twin-turbo V8 engine that increases the cars overall power output, it also benefits from a 20% decrease in fuel consumption and C02 emissions to return an impressive 20.3mpg and 325g/gkm of C02.

Complete with a selection of 'M' styling cues, the interior cabin enjoys premium materials on elements such as the steering wheel and aluminium gear lever as well as the Alcantara headliner, new sporty seats and the carbon fibre dashboard trim. In terms of technical spec the X5 M also includes BMW's optimised Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and a new suspension system that contains double-wishbone suspension on the front and a self-levelling rear air suspension incorporating electronically adjustable dampers.

Embodying the M division's first xDrive variant, the new BMW X5 M takes dynamic driving pleasure to the extreme.
