Wednesday 9th September 2020 saw the world’s very first Electric Vehicle Day, and with Renault being known as the pioneers of the electric vehicle, it’s no surprise they wanted to do something fun to celebrate!
To celebrate this new annual event the Renault ZOE set off on ‘ZOE’s Big Trip’. The trip saw the Renault ZOE travel from Lands’ End in the south of England to John O’Groats in the north of Scotland in just 4 days, in a relay style trip, involving 15 different Renault retailers from across the country.
Of course here at Park’s we couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to join in on the action and we participated in the Central Scotland leg of the relay. Our Park’s East Kilbride dealership received the car from Peebles, and our efforts saw us driving the Renault ZOE from East Kilbride to Stirling Castle, via Whitelee Wind Farm: the UK’s largest onshore wind farm, before passing the baton onto the next Renault dealer.
The trip from Lands End to John O’Groats totalled around 839 miles, and with the Renault ZOE offering 248*miles per charge, the ZOE only needed less than approximately 3 and a half chargers to complete this entire trip! If that’s not enough of a wow factor for you, the unique driving experience of driving the Renault ZOE is bound to get drivers excited. With technology that’s been developed and perfected over the last 10 years, the all-electric ZOE offers silent and vibration free driving, with a responsive pick up, versatility and dynamic drive to ensure a ride like no other.
Contrary to many beliefs, going electric doesn’t mean you need to settle on other features known and loved by Renault drivers. The Renault ZOE pushes the boundary present with other EV’s on the market today when it comes to those added features. Complete with numerous safety features such as Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring and rear view cameras, the Renault ZOE ensures the safety of you and your passenger, no matter the length of the journey!
