PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) is Land Rover’s most innovative powertrain to date. PHEV provides a supercharged performance, astonishing capability, uncompromised refinement and ultra-low Plug-In Hybrid emissions.
P400e combines the excellent benefits of electrification and the legendary capabilities of Range Rover. PHEV can produce an output of 404hp and CO2 emissions from an impressive 72g/km. The PHEV P400e gives you an additional boost in performance when you need it most by combining the lightweight 2.0 litre 300hp Si4 Ingenium petrol engine, high capacity 85kW electric motor and the large 13kWh capacity battery. The PHEV can achieve 0-60mph in just 6.3 seconds and is fully capable of managing most short commutes in full EV mode with zero tailpipe emissions. PHEV will utilise the Ingenium petrol engine to support larger ranges. This ensures greater fuel savings and a reduced impact on the environment.
When it comes to capability and performance you can choose from Parallel Hybrid mode (the default driving mode) which combines petrol and electric drive or the full electric drive of EV (Electric Vehicle) mode. For optimal refinement, PHEV ensures a seamless transition between the petrol engine and electric motor and provides uncompromised handling during off-road situations such as wading and rock crawl.
All aspects of the PHEV design have been carefully measured and designed including the clever integration of the charging port into the front grille. This provides ease of access and connection to the charging point without compromising the Range Rover’s iconic design. Inside, the PHEV models are no exception to the distinctive premium materials, exemplary finish and top-of-the-range technologies found in the range. The Integrated Touch Pro Duo and Interactive Driver Display informs you how efficiently you’re driving and provides real-time data about how the electric motor is working alongside the conventional combustion engine. InControl displays details about local and on-route charging points including the most efficient routes on both gradient and terrain on the upper Touchscreen. The latest technology also allows you to pre-heat or pre-cool the cabin before you even enter the vehicle while maintaining a full electric range. The model’s driving tranquillity perfectly reflects the sense of serenity within the interior space.
The Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle is charged from an external power supply which enables you to charge the vehicle overnight or in as little as 7.5 hours using a domestic power socket. Where more flexible or faster EV charging solutions are required, accessory Multi-function and Public Charging cables are available. By using Timed Charging to specify when PHEV charges, you can take advantage of off-peak electricity tariffs or simply choose the time of day convenient to you.
PHEV models include Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
