The All-New Kia e-Niro offers an all-electric, eye-catching design with zero-emissions and entertaining performance. Designed to merge crossover-inspired design with long distance using new production technologies developed for Kia electric vehicles, it has the ability to complete both, long-distance drives and daily commutes with ultra-low running costs.
Key features on this model include rear parking sensors, a reversing camera system, auto-dimming rear view mirror and an engine stop/start button with smart entry system as well as rain sensing windscreen wipers, automatic headlight control, heated and folding door mirrors as well as a ‘follow-me-home’ light functionality.
DAB radio, an 8” touchscreen, satellite navigation with EU mapping and traffic messaging channel, alongside TomTom Live which includes traffic, speed camera, local search and weather updates, will keep you up to do date in real-time with the latest information from the road.
Fitted with Smart Cruise Control which uses the car’s radar to adjust the speed and distance to the car in front, when the vehicle ahead accelerates, your vehicle will too, maintaining the maximum speed selected; if the car in front slows down, then your car slows down, remembering the safety distance at all times. The Smart Regenerative Braking system helps to recharge the battery, save energy and lets you enjoy effortless one-pedal driving. There are four levels of regenerative braking which use kinetic energy to recharge your battery.
With a 451L boot and the rear seats folded the storage capacity increases to 1,405 litres, giving the E-Niro a spacious interior and designed with black leather upholstery, a satin finish for the interior door handles and high gloss black surfaces at the front, It is fitted with an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and steering wheel to make the interior cabin both cool and comfortable.
The exterior design showcases halogen headlights with Bi-Function projection, front fog lights, LED daytime running lights and LED rear combination clusters. Privacy glass for the rear windows and tailgate also deliver a high-class appearance, while the 17” alloy wheels are especially designed and optimised for the pure-electric e-Niro and the roof rails give a sharp and lifestyle orientated appearance emphasising its crossover stance.
The E-Niro is fitted with a high-capacity 64 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack. The WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) combined cycle provides a driving range of more than 282 miles on a single charge, producing zero C02 emissions and on city-cycle mode it is capable of driving up to 382 miles. The long distance 64 kWh battery pack is paired with a 201bhp (150kW) motor, producing 395Nm of torque which enables the Kia e-Niro to accelerate from 0 to 50mph in just 7.5 seconds.
An advance driving system called Lane Following Assist (LFA) automatically adjusts the cars acceleration, braking and steering to the vehicle ahead. It starts automatically if the car in front moves within three seconds of stopping. The electronic parking brake is stress-free and convenient; simply press the button to activate the parking brake then when the car starts the break is automatically released. Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) uses a windscreen-mounted camera to monitor the vehicle’s position in the lane, with the system able to guide the car back into the centre of the lane. Additional safety features are driver attention warning (DAW), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Emergency Stop Signalling (ESS) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
All Kia cars come with a unique 7 year or 100,000 mile warranty, subject to certain wear and tear conditions. The warranty covers the battery pack and electric motor and is fully transferable should the car be sold before the time or mileage limits have been reached.
