The latest edition to the Volvo V40 range is the rugged V40 Cross Country, designed to keep drivers on the move, whatever the weather. Volvo have taken the V40 hatch and added extra height and suspension to create a car that can easily tackle rougher terrain, floating over the roads imperfections with greater shock absorption.
The majority of the framework of the V40 Cross Country is much the same as the V40, combining curves and clever sculpting to create a sporty stance and strong on the road presence. Silver roof rails have been added which increases the cars profile, giving it extra height. The nose of the car displays a chunky black plastic front bumper which sports stylish LED daytime running lights. Metal side sills and skid plates also add to the Cross Country's tougher image. A number of exterior styling kits and accessories are available to really make the V40 Cross Country unique to every driver's tastes and needs.
The plush interior uses T-Tec textile upholstery and creates a comfortable and relaxing environment making the driving experience an enjoyable one. A high quality dash features Volvo's familiar centre console, a 7inch infotainment multi-media touch control panel. And with Volvo's Sensus Connected Touch system drivers will never be lost again. Parking assist and Tech & Sound accessories are all available for the fully integrated driving experience.
Safety and reliability are top priorities in the V40 Cross Country having received the full five starts in the Euro NCAP rating. A full suite of safety systems are integrated which include low-speed auto brake function and the world's first pedestrian airbag. A broad range of engines are available to choose from, all of which have increased fuel efficiency while producing low C02 emissions, the most economical being the 113bhp 1.6 litre D2 engine which delivers 74mpg and 99g/km of CO2.
