MACRAE & DICK TOYOTA SUPPORT DAY1 THROUGH THE TOYOTA FUND FOR A BETTER TOMORROW

Macrae & Dick Toyota will be supporting local charity Day1 with the Inverness Kart Raceway project.  The Raceway will be run by the charity to support young people with greater needs vocationally through appropriate training and employment opportunities.  The project will also provide an income stream to allow Day1 to maintain and expand upon the number of young people benefitting from their mentoring programme.

Macrae & Dick Toyota have presented the charity with £1,800 with which to fulfil their aims with Inverness Kart Raceway.  The funds will be used for tools and educational equipment to ensure that the young people gain valuable life skills from this venture.

Corrin Henderson, Director at Day1 said ‘This fund will enable us to purchase the tools required to maintain the karts and provide the opportunity for young people to work on the karts.  We look forward to working with the Toyota technicians when we open later in the year.’

Sandy MacKenzie, Centre Principle Macrae & Dick Toyota said ‘We are delighted to support Day1 with this exciting development and the we are all looking forward to getting involved with the charity to support young people.’

The team at Macrae & Dick Toyota will also be involved with training the kart technicians and the Day1 mentoring scheme.

The Inverness Kart Raceway is due to officially open in the autumn however Day1 continue to support young people all year round.
