Volvo has officially pulled back the curtain on its V60 sport wagon. Essentially a more cargo friendly version of the S60 saloon, the Volvo V60 will make its first public debut at this autumn's Paris Motor Show.
Following the current trend in the industry, the V60 adopts coupe-like styling, eschewing Volvo's typical boxy wagon designs. Although the V60's sleek styling takes away from rear cargo room, Volvo's other offerings should be able to pick up the slack.
Continuing Volvo's safety ethos, the V60 will feature Volvo's City Safety system, Driver Alert Control, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Information System, Active Headlights and Roll Over Protection System.
V60 buyers will be able to choose from four petrol engines and three diesel units. The gas engine range kicks off with a 140 horsepower 1.6 litre, continuing to a range-topping 304 horsepower turbocharged 3.0 litre inline-six. Diesel options include a base 115 horsepower 1.6 litre, a mid-level 163 horsepower 2.0 litre five-cylinder and a 205 horsepower 2.4 litre.
Expect more information to be announced at the V60's world premiere at the Paris Motor Show.
