The new MINI Paceman is unique in its styling and will turn heads with its powerful lines and high-performance engines. The three-door Paceman brings all of MINIs iconic features up to date with the latest technology in a unique and innovative body shell. It combines the sporty, masculine looks of the Coupé with the dimensions and versatility of the Countryman as well as keeping MINIs distinctive fun-loving personality and driving dynamics with its lowered suspension.
The upright front grille and broad chrome surround gives the Paceman genuine presence. Its stretched side profile features long doors and the blacked-out pillars create a 'floating' roof concept, as seen on the MINI Coupé. Available in black, white or body colour, the roof gently slopes towards the rear ending at the integrated spoiler. The Paceman is the only member of the MINI family to be identified by a rear nameplate
Inside the cabin, the raised seating position gives both driver and passenger a great vantage point. The instrument panel features familiar MINI concepts including the large circular speedometer. However, its black surround and decorative inner rings in high-gloss black or chrome are new, as are the redesigned air vent surrounds.
The MINI Paceman comes with generous standard specification including light alloy wheels, air conditioning, powered door mirrors, front sports seats, DSC, DTC and MINIMILASIM fuel saving technologies including Start/Stop and Brake Energy Regeneration. Optional extras include Xenon Adaptive Headlights, Park Distance Control, MINI Navigation System and an electronic glass roof. Additional fun can be had with the optional Sport Button which tweak's the engine's responses and the power assistance provided by the steering. The Paceman is also fitted with extensive safety equipment including front and side airbags, ISOFIX child seat attachments and a tyre pressure warning.
There are various models to choose from as well as a range of powerful four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. The MINI Cooper S Paceman features a 1.6 litre 122bhp engine tuned to deliver 184bhp due to the addition of a twin scroll turbo charger. Its fuel economy is 46.3 mpg and emissions are 143g/km.
The Paceman is also available with the option of ALL4 all-wheel drive system on Cooper D, SD and Cooper S Paceman models and the John Cooper Works Paceman is in the pipeline for those looking for an adrenaline fuelled drive.
