Macrae & Dick facilitated the donation of over £12,000 to the Highland Hospice with thanks to the generosity of a customer and supporter of the Highland Hospice.
Macrae & Dick Mazda received a Mazda MX-5 from a customer who wished their vehicle to be sold and the proceeds donated to the Highland Hospice. The team at Mazda were more than happy to facilitate this and managed to maximise the price on the vehicle. The profit that would have been made was added to the value of the car and the total amount of £12,150 was presented to the Highland Hospice.
Andrew Leaver, Head of Fundraising, Highland Hospice said ‘This is a huge contribution to the charity and we would like to thank the anonymous customer for their donation and Macrae & Dick for facilitating the sale. This money will go towards our Project Build Appeal to raise the funds required to rebuild our In Patient Unit on our riverside site in Inverness’
Ronald Mackay, Franchise Manager, Macrae & Dick Mazda said ‘When we received the request to assist with the sale of this vehicle and donation to the Highland Hospice we were more than happy to help. To maximise on the donation we added this to our used stock and sold this as if it was one of our own so that we could maximise on the sale price of the vehicle and be able to donate what we made on it to the Hospice.’
Macrae & Dick and their employees have also recently raised funds for the Highland Hospice through the use of vehicles for the Everest Cycle Challenge, a team from Macrae & Dick Honda had their legs and chests waxed and Andy MacPherson took part in Strictly Inverness 2015.
