Elaine Dingwall celebrated her 25 years’ service with the company earlier this month and was presented with a silver salver by Francis Hamilton, Chairman of Macrae & Dick Ltd, at a ceremony attended by her colleagues in the Finance Department together with a cheque for £500.

Elaine joined Macrae & Dick on the 8th August 1989, age 17, having completed a Secretarial Studies course at Inverness College. Elaine’s first role with the Company was a Vehicle Invoicing Clerkess as at that time all branches sent their invoicing to Head Office for processing. The team that Elaine joined was made up of 6 staff who all shared the one computer.

Shortly after this Elaine moved into the Accounts Department and looked after the accounts for the car hire and filling stations of Macrae & Dick. As Elaine gained more experience she then took on the accounts administration of the car dealerships and is now Dealership Accountant producing management accounts for the Toyota and Ford Elgin branches.

Elaine said ‘I have really enjoyed the past 25 years with Macrae & Dick and I have worked with many great people and made many great friends. I am looking forward to the next 25!’

Francis Hamilton, Chairman, Macrae & Dick said ‘I would like to thank Elaine for her hard work and cheerful commitment to the Company throughout the last 25 years and look forward to working with her in the future.
