You can choose from four different trim levels: 1, 2, 3 and First Edition – all of which come with DAB radio, Bluetooth, alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control and LED daytime running lights. The mid-range 2 model is generous on equipment, including a reversing camera, satellite navigation with real-time traffic updates and weather reports as well as rear privacy glass, part-leather upholstery and automatic wipers.
Also available is the advanced driving assistance pack with blind spot detection, autonomous emergency braking system with pedestrian detection, smart cruise control and lane keep assist.
With a quality built interior that mirrors the larger Kia Sportage everything about it feels quality.
A large touchscreen in the centre of the dashboard that can be controlled by the steering wheel mounted controls. DAB, Bluetooth and Andriod Auto all come as standard.
Entry level 1 comes with 16” alloys and gloss black and chrome exterior trims, dual climate control, LED daytime running lights and automatic windscreen defogging system.
Further up the range you get the 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Kia’s connected services that link to the Tom Tom system. Leather upholstery, rear privacy glass, auto wipers, four zone climate control. Ventilated/heated seats and an electric sunroof.
The Niro is impressively efficient compared to typical small crossover competitors such as the Nissan Juke, Mazda CX-3 and Renault Captur, while boasting excellent fuel economy and low CO2 emissions. You can travel for up to three miles on electric power alone, at speeds of up to 70mph, combined figure of 74.3mpg and CO2 emissions of just 88g/km, putting it in VED band A ensuring customers pay £20 road tax, offering great value for money.
