New BMWi Remote App

BMW is dedicated to keeping up with the latest technology available. As part of this, its BMW ConnectedDrive technology is able to provide a truly advanced link experience to its users - including operation of the brand new Apple Watch.

As part of BMW ConnectedDrive, the BMWi Remote app is able to check the condition and functions of any BMWi vehicle, as well as control those functions remotely. This app is provided free of charge and can be downloaded to any compatible device, including the Apple Watch.

From the Apple Watch, motorists will be able to monitor the battery level of their BMWi vehicle, and will also be given an alert when the vehicle has been fully charged. A version of satellite navigation is also included, allowing the Apple Watch to guide the user to the car position. It is also possible to activate comfort features remotely, such as the interior temperature; the air conditioning can be activated prior to entry, allowing it to reach the optimum temperature before use. Additionally, the app will work during travel in order to find the best route to take, should the journey be slowed by traffic or roadworks.

Users of the Apple Watch are able to access the features of the BMWi Remote app through the touch-activated surface, easily swiping to reach the needed functions quickly.
