BMW F 800 GS Adventure

NEW BMW F 800 GS ADVENTURE

AVAILABLE AT DOUGLAS PARK MOTORRAD IN EAST KILBRIDE NEAR GLASGOW

Performance

The 2014 Adventure edition of the BMW F 800 GS takes an already-popular model and improves upon it in several ways, adding features and tweaking performance to deliver the ultimate off-road biking experience.

The Adventure boasts the same sprightly twin-cylinder engine as its inspiration, with 85bhp and up to 83Nm of torque at the twist of the throttle. The sub-frame has been strengthened, allowing for even greater fuel capacity, and the seat has been widened to create a more accommodating and comfortable ride. The torsionally-resistant tubular steel spaceframe from the original F 800 GS also makes a welcome return, almost entirely unchanged. And with spring travels of 23cm and 21.5cm at the front and back respectively, the suspension system in the Adventure will make sure that even the roughest terrain feels smooth under the wheels.

Design

The BMW Motorrad range boasts some of the best-looking Enduro bikes on the market today, and the F 800 GS Adventure easily fits this assessment. Wiry, masculine framing highlights the potential for fun and intrepid exploring, while the choice of Sandrover Matte or Racing Red colour schemes allow you to customise the look of your model.

Safety Features

The F 800 GS Adventure is equipped with some impressive safety features. The most notable, of course, is the ABS system which is fitted as standard. You can choose to further enhance the stability and safety of the ride, however, with the optional Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA) systems. The windscreen has been enlarged, creating an ideal shield against the elements, while hand protectors provide an extra feeling of security while riding.
